You've Been Doing It Wrong (for 20 years)

I’ve been climbing, and therefore belaying, for over twenty years. on moving to Norway I found that a qualification was required to belay at the climbing wall. A very different system to the self-certification at UK climbing walls.

I arrived confidently for the test only to find out that brief “training” in scouts several decades ago doesn’t adequately equip you for the high standards and more modern equipment of a 2026 Norwegian climbing wall.
